Our Upper School Spanish Department seeks an experienced, innovative native Spanish teacher for the middle school levels (grades 5 - 8) to join our dynamic and collaborative faculty. This is an exciting opportunity for a professional learner to contribute to program development across the Upper School.
Whitby offers differentiated Spanish instruction to all students from our toddler classes to grade 8. We are seeking a candidate with an in-depth knowledge of language acquisition, developmentally appropriate curriculum, a demonstrated pattern of effective communication and collaboration. The successful candidate will exhibit the highest standards of professionalism. Knowledge and experience of the International Baccalaureate Middle Years Program would be a distinct advantage.
Is a native Spanish speaker
Holds a Bachelor’s degree
Has a minimum of three years’ experience teaching Spanish
Satisfactory completion of pre-employment background check
In-depth knowledge of language acquisition theory and practice
Experience teaching Spanish as a foreign language
Experience teaching with technology
