The School - Founded in 1919, Lakeside School is an independent coeducational day school offering a broad curriculum for a talented, highly motivated, and broadly diverse student body numbering 851 in grades 5-12. Among the defining features of Lakeside School is its intentional focus on developing young adults who will exercise wisdom, compassion, and leadership in a global society. Lakeside’s faculty and administrators continually create, evaluate, and refine programs that support the school’s unwavering commitment to academic excellence, diversity and inclusion, ethical behavior, and global engagement.
One of the world’s leading independent schools, Lakeside School has capitalized on its location, resources, and leadership capacity to fulfill every aspect of its institutional mission. Lakeside is clearly distinguished by its strong academic program, diverse and inclusive campus, and commitment to global learning.
The singular experience that Lakeside delivers – along with the visionary leadership of the Board; the Head of School, Bernie Noe; and the senior administrative team – has inspired the loyalty of alumni and current families alike. The school has amassed a significant endowment, which has ensured its financial security and allowed it to invest in beautiful facilities, the recruitment of outstanding teachers and administrators, a robust financial aid program, and the development of innovative academic and co-curricular programs.
The Position - As Lakeside embarks on an ambitious plan to re-envision its entire school program in response to global changes in technology and the workplace, the school seeks an accomplished administrator and educational leader to oversee its vibrant Middle School program starting in July 2020. The successful candidate will be a talented educational leader who is ready to contribute to this dynamic community. They will embody the school’s mission and be able work effectively with a strong faculty and bright students of diverse cultures and experiences.
