National Presbyterian School, an independent, coeducational elementary school (Nursery—6th Grade) in Washington, D.C., is seeking a Sixth Grade Teaching Associate to serve as a maternity leave substitute from early November, 2019 through early February, 2020.
Under the supervision of homeroom teachers, the Teaching Associate will work in three Sixth Grade classrooms to provide instructional support in all subject areas. Teaching Associates also participate fully in the life of the school, and additional responsibilities include attending grade level and full faculty meetings and assuming duties related to lunch, recess, and dismissal.
In prospective candidates, NPS is looking for educators who possess the skills and passion necessary to inspire learning and enhance the overall educational experience by fostering students’ academic, ethical, social, and emotional development in accordance with the National Presbyterian School mission, philosophy, and Core Values.
