Proctor Academy is currently seeking an Associate Director of College Counseling. The Associate Director of College Counseling will support and present programming to our students and families on the college search and admissions processes. Essential functions include but are not limited to guiding a caseload of approximately 45 counselees per class; helping students self-assess and research higher education and other post-secondary opportunities; participating in college counseling events throughout the school year such as: College Seminar Sessions, Fall and Spring Family Weekends, and college fairs; meeting with college representatives who visit Proctor Academy and serving as a liaison with college admissions offices throughout the academic year; visiting colleges and universities throughout the academic year and attending national and regional college admissions counseling conferences and forums; being the Assistant Standardized Test Supervisor for ACT, SAT, AP Exams, and TOEFL.

The ideal candidate will hold a Bachelor’s degree, preferably a Master’s degree; 10 years or more of experience in a college counseling office and/or in selective college admission office; excellent writing & public speaking skills; strong time management & organizational skills; ability to use multiple technology skills; knowledge & awareness of trends in college admissions, testing, financial and higher education. Annual salary is dependent on experience. The position is a full-time position.
