Position Title: Reports to: Position Summary:
Development Services and Database Manager Director of Development
The Development Services and Database Manager works as a collaborative member of a four-person Development team. The primary responsibilities of the position include overall responsibility for the Raiser’s Edge database and providing support to the Development Team.
Promptly process all contributions and acknowledgement letters.
Provide fundraising and constituent-relations support services ranging from prospect
identification through donor stewardship, from running reports, queries and lists through
performing analyses and assessments.
Complete new student record integration and maintain current student and family records.
Update graduating senior and family records following fiscal year end.
Maintain data processing files and ensure that database is up-to-date with changes provided by
returned mail, constituent contact, and other avenues of information exchange, including imports from other campus databases. Update constituent codes and conduct database clean- up.
Reconcile monthly with the Business Office on all contributions.
Provide support for Special Events, i.e., Annual Fund Donor Events, fundraising events and
Prepare reports and maintain files detailing fundraising progress; generate donor lists for
Work with Development staff and volunteers to identify their information needs. Participate
in discussions related to major program planning in connection with annual giving, major
giving, boards, committees, special events, and volunteer services.
Provide administrative support for the Development department including ordering of
supplies, fielding phone calls, drafting correspondence, and prioritizing tasks on a daily basis.
Maintain calendar of development activities and relevant campus-wide events.
Maintain paper donor files in the development office, filing donations and acknowledgement
Perform other duties consistent with the above responsibilities.

Minimum three years high-level administrative or development experience
Proficiency with Raiser’s Edge a must, including queries and exports, three years plus
Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail a
Proficiency with excel, word, and other Microsoft Office products
Experience working with auction software, Greater Giving a plus
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Ability to handle multiple projects and produce quality results on schedule
Comfortable dealing with confidential, sensitive information and situations
Bachelor’s degree preferred
Some nights and weekends may be required
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds
