Associate Director of Development Director of Development The Associate Director of Development works as a collaborative member of a four-person Development team. The primary responsibilities of the position include management of the Annual Fund and all fundraising events.
Plan, organize, and execute, in collaboration with the Development team and parent and alumni volunteers, a comprehensive Annual Fund strategy that engages and solicits gifts from all school state holders including current and former Trustees, current parents, faculty and staff, parents of alumni, alumni, and other friends and past supporters.
Plan, manage, execute, and evaluate the school’s annual Community Fundraiser which draws approximately 1000 attendees from the school and community (adults and children) and includes a raffle, silent and live auction, Fund-A-Need, food, drinks, and entertainment.
Plan and manage other school fundraising events and community building events.
Effectively lead and coach event committee volunteers and stakeholders.
Lead and attend event committee meetings.
Solicit and manage all contractors and vendors related to events.
Maintain detailed records of event revenues, expenses and budgets.
Assist in the design and production of event materials and communications (invitation, program,
etc.) and coordinate with Marketing Associate and printers to meet production deadlines.
Participate in discussions related to major program planning in connection with annual giving,
major giving, community building, on-boarding new parents, special events, and alumni events.
Perform other duties consistent with the above responsibilities and goals for the department.

Education, Certifications, and Work-Related Experience: Required:
Bachelor’s degree required.
Minimum five years development experience, preferably in a school setting
Proficiency with Greater Giving and Constant Contact
Experience working with Raiser’s Edge, preferred
• Proficiency with excel, word, and other Microsoft Office products
Self-directed worker who is able to work independently.
Confident leader who can support volunteers and other team partners.
Excellent organizational skills, written and verbal communication skills, and attention to detail
Ability to handle multiple projects and produce quality results on schedule
Comfortable dealing with confidential, sensitive information and situations
Some nights and weekends may be required
Ability to lift and carry 35 pounds
