The role of the Admission Experience Specialist is an integral part of the Admission Office and School responsible for partnering with the Director of Enrollment Management and the Admission Team in all facets of the enrollment process. The position is critical in the management of applications, managing the ambassador program, coordinating the logistics of the prospective family visit experience as well as monitoring and maintaining the Admission Office’s database. Through a continuing focus of improving efficiency for the Office as well as providing a positive experience for prospective families, the Admission Experience Specialist shall enhance the effective use of the database and streamline processes in support of the Office and its members. The role is a professional staff role within the Admission Office and reports to the Director of Enrollment Management.
Typical Education and Experience:
This position requires a bachelor’s degree and/or a minimum of 2-3 years of experience in consumer relations as well as database management. Preferably, the candidate will also have experience in an independent school community.
Overview of Responsibilities:
Maintains database for Admission Office as well as hard copy backups. Tracks statistics, gathers data (electronic inquiries, financial aid information, etc.), performs analysis and writes/disseminates reports. Assists departments in developing, reviewing, and updating policies and procedures relating to admissions based on past processes and student success rates.
Assists with the development and implementation of program-specific marketing and recruitment strategies. Attends fairs to market and recruit for the School. Plans and coordinates informational workshops, visitations, and tours, etc. to inform the public about educational opportunities within the School.
Coordinates School admission services. Works with School departments to interpret policies and to develop appropriate procedures for implementation. Reviews admission materials, conducts interviews with families and students and presents prospective students to Admission and Scholarship Committees for consideration. Provides admission counseling to prospective students. Coordinates with the Admission Office and administration, faculty, coaches etc. to facilitate consistent delivery of admissions services. Participates in new student orientations, family weekends, open houses, and revisit days
Identifies and responds to day to day administrative issues within the Office and coordinates resolution of these matters.
Manage the student admission ambassador program.
Perform periodic weekend duties during the school year.
Other duties as may be assigned in support of the Admission Office and the School.

The Admission Experience Specialist must have a positive spirit, strong work ethic, willingness to work flexible hours, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively.
