The Beech Hill School announces a search for an individual with a background in social sciences and a passion for middle school education. The successful candidate must be willing to:
Teach one (1) section each of:
6th Grade Geography (Interdisciplinary class with 6th Grade Earth Science – team taught)
7th Grade United States History
8th Grade Recent World History/Current Events
Review, refine, and develop curriculum;
Participate in Skills and advisory programs;
Contribute to physical education and/or elective programs;
Work with other faculty members to improve student outcomes;
Communicate clearly with peers, parents, and students; and
Maintain a school culture that supports the school’s mission.
The preferred candidate may possess:
A degree in education, curriculum, and/or social studies related content area;
Life or professional experience related to social studies;
A willingness to contribute broadly to the school community and in the lives of the students; and
An understanding and appreciation of the middle school student’s cognitive and social development.

The Beech Hill School is a co-educational, independent, middle school in Hopkinton, New Hampshire. The school serves approximately 40 students in grades 5 through 8. The School provides a rigorous academic program paired with a robust elective and outdoors program. Small by design and intentional in its programs, students thrive at The Beech Hill School.
