Woodstock Day School is a progressive, independent day school located on a breathtaking 50-acre campus in the Catskill Mountains. Our mission is to provide a socially and environmentally mindful education from Nursery School - 12th Grade, valuing each student as an individual and as a member of the community. We have an opening for a 2nd Grade teacher for the 19-20 school year.
The 2nd Grade teacher is responsible for teaching ELA, mathematics (Singapore Curriculum), science, and social studies. Specials, led by other teachers, include music, Spanish, art, and PE. Woodstock Day School (WDS) classroom teachers also teach the Tribes Curriculum, which builds a caring classroom community.
Master’s Degree in Elementary Education. The ideal candidate will have a minimum of three years’ experience teaching elementary education, a hands-on, project-based approach to teaching, and enthusiasm for joining a small, dedicated, collaborative community of educators and learners.
