For a full prospectus and instructions on applying, click here. This position reports to the Senior Associate Director of Development and oversees the Manager of Advancement Services.
Analyze and help manage frontline fundraisers’ portfolios via developing and maintaining a moves management system and dashboards.
Develop prospect identification methodologies and ratings systems
Create the supporting infrastructure in Raiser’s Edge needed for tracking prospect information via the ratings system
Regularly refresh or conduct research on King constituents
Complete prospect research profiles in various formats (gift capacity, board nomination, new parent/preliminary research, and event bios)
Support Board cultivation assignments and tracking
Analyze RSVPs and event attendance for King’s primary stewardship and cultivation events
Analyze RE action and activity reports to support development team writ large in monitoring progress towards annual outreach targets
Formalize a written and approved process for research requests by the Director of Development and other colleagues and conduct research in a timely fashion
Analyze overall giving trends to King, especially for the Annual Fund, as well as individual giving trends to recommend ask amounts and targeted strategies and create multi-year giving analyses and multi-year revenue projections
Enhance the integrity of alumni data
Monitor calendar of stewardship activity across development channels that touch multiple donors, for example, institutional or Parents Association events
Support uniform and appropriate stewardship outreach and create and oversee the creation of stewardship tools, such as the endowment reports, annual report, and donor honor rolls
Supervise the process for donor acknowledgements and receipts and serve as backup for gift processing
Provide support to King’s recently launched Planned Giving program.
Skills and requirements:
Bachelor’s degree required, and Master’s degree preferred
A minimum of five to seven years of advancement experience including, ideally, work in prospect management and staff management
Experience analyzing and prioritizing fundraising portfolios
Experience conducting prospect research, critically evaluating giving potential, and creating ratings systems
Experience participating in successful completion of a $10 million-plus campaign with five-, six-, and seven-figure donors
Advanced skills with Raiser’s Edge, Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and Word.
Strong problem-solving skills and sound judgment
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work collaboratively and in an energetic environment
May require occasional evenings and weekends.
