Gann Academy is seeking a full time Development Officer who will report to the Chief Advancement Officer and work in collaboration with the Development team and other school employees. The Development Officer is responsible for implementing Gann Academy’s Annual Campaign fundraising strategy by working with various constituents, managing the Raisers Edge Fundraising Database, and serving as liaison to volunteer committees. The focus of this position is to secure support for school-wide priorities including academic programs, affordability, the sciences, technology, and campus improvements.
Manage Raiser's Edge database and financial reporting;
Prepare fundraising analysis reports to best strategize on short term and long term goals;
Work with marketing department to prepare development related content for school social media accounts, videos, and creative content;
Build and maintain strong relationships with key volunteers and donors and work closely with faculty on specific projects that are part of donor-designated gifts
Work with Chief Advancement Officer on supplemental campaigns to raise capital, legacy, and scholarship funds
Manage restricted gifts and grants and all required reporting and reconciliation with finance.
Assist with presentations and pitches for major gifts
Participate on various committees to strategize on ways to raise legacy, scholarship and capital funds for the school.
Prepare Board meeting materials for all board meetings throughout the year.
Organize and assist in planning development and school related events
Coordinate Alumni Parent Campaign, Committee, and Strategy
Oversee constituency events and communications, including but not limited to Alumni and Alumni Parents;
Build strong relationships with key volunteers;
Create and implement strategies for cultivating and soliciting constituents through digital fundraising campaigns and face to face solicitations;
Conduct direct solicitations of parents, alumni, and alumni-parents, in person when possible
Create strategy and plan for the development calendar

Excellent written, presentation, oral communications and interpersonal skills; ability to communicate with tact and diplomacy in a clear, courteous and professional manner; ability to write compelling letters and proposals.
Possess strong leadership skills, and be able to motivate and influence others; ability to work well as an effective team member.
Ability to effectively manage a high workload, multiple projects and competing priorities; possess strong attention to detail, excellent organizational skills, and an ability to work well under pressure; demonstrated record of completing assignments while working independently.
Interest in the school’s mission with a dedication to promoting the organization’s fundraising priorities through strong relationships.
Ability to think creatively and strategically, have excellent judgment and be able to work in a changing environment.
Strong computer skills including proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Experience in RE and or database skills preferable.
Flexibility to participate in evening and weekend events and meetings when necessary.
2-5 years of development experience preferred
