Based on a 109-year tradition of educational excellence, Katherine Delmar Burke School is an independent K-8 girls’ school located on a 3.5 acre campus in San Francisco.
The Family Relations and Special Events Manager reports to the Director of Advancement, provides leadership, support and guidance to a robust, volunteer-based Parents’ Association, oversees the Grandparents’ Council, and organizes a variety of special events throughout the school year. This person will be part of a five-person Advancement Office that enjoys robust professional development opportunities and is a fun, professional and cohesive team.

Ability to organize and motivate volunteers to achieve goals
Initiative and independence in carrying out responsibilities
Experience in education, fundraising, marketing or special events required
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Extreme attention to detail is mandatory
Experience with Blackbaud Raiser’s Edge database and standard software applications such as Excel, Power Point, and Word preferred
Strong organizational, analytical and planning skills
Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks and a variety of demands
A small development/communications staff means participating in each other’s work, assisting whenever necessary, branching out to other areas if needed
