The Churchill Middle School, a school for students with language-based learning disabilities, is seeking a full-time Science Assistant Teacher for the 2019-2020 school year. The Middle School Assistant Teacher position involves teaching in collaboration with the classroom Head Teacher and supporting students in a wide array of classroom settings.
Assistant Teachers must have a minimum of a Bachelor's degree and knowledge in general middle school science content. They should also have a strong desire to work with middle school students, a willingness and ability to work collaboratively with a team, and should be comfortable with technology use in the classroom. Candidates with experience and those in the process of obtaining a Master's Degree in Special Education or a relevant content area are given preference. Assistants must also possess a New York State Teaching Assistant Certification or be willing to obtain one.
