Churchill School and Center is looking for a Director of Community Relations who will help build and implement techniques to strengthen relationships with our community members and enhance their sense of connection to our mission. The Director of Community Relations will be a critical part of the Philanthropy and Donor Relations Team, working to foster an increase in stakeholder participation and will report to the Chief Philanthropy Officer . This role requires knowledge of community building principles, and strong interpersonal communication and program development skills.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Act as the primary liaison to the Parents Association and the Parents Association President
Serve as a resource and point of contact for internal and external stakeholder groups
Help to develop and facilitate strategies to mobilize our parent network to increase engagement and streamline information flow
Create value-added touchpoints that strengthen relationships with our Alumni
Assist in with writing and editing materials for different stakeholders
Emphasize to each and every member of our community, whether they are giving of time, talent, or dollars, that their involvement is critical to making all we do possible
Creative, innovative, solution-oriented thinker
Self-motivated with a collaborative, and team-oriented
Excel at building authentic, trust-based relationships
Proven track record of designing and implementing creative community engagement strategies
Experience in bringing people together and building a sense of community and connection
Strategic thinker able to see the bigger picture without losing sight of the details
Knowledge of donor-based fundraising practices
Strong attention to detail
Ability to consistently meet deadlines and simultaneously manage multiple projects geared toward different constituencies.
