Palm Beach Day Academy, established in 1921, is an independent, coeducational school, serving 420 students from age 2 to Grade 9, on two campuses. The Lower School, which houses students age two years old – Grade 3, seeks a talented and energetic Lower School teacher to begin August 2019. Current job openings exist in the Lower School.
The successful candidate will plan and implement the curriculum using a variety of teaching approaches with a team model. Flexibility, creativity, a sense of humor, strong work ethic and a commitment to being a strong team member are all critically important. Knowledge in Readers-Writers Workshop is essential. A strong math background and willingness to incorporate STEAM and Literacy in the classroom is also necessary.

All applicants should have a Bachelor’s degree in Elementary Education. A minimum of three years of teaching experience at the Elementary level is preferred, excellent written and verbal communication skills, as well as knowledge with integrating technology into the curriculum.
