This individual will be responsible for supporting our recruitment and marketing efforts in China by means of providing the required on-site support structure to agents, parents, recruitment team members and all other key stakeholders for our Chinese student community. Duties will include but are not limited to:
Pre-arrival/arrival recruitment tasks
Arrange campus tours for interested parties in Chinese language, via WeChat / e-mail etc.
Working with the China recruitment team, arrange student interviews with school admin / faculty staff members as required.
Translate pre-arrival information into Chinese language and disseminated to students/parents/agents.
Assist parents with local accommodation bookings and logistics when they visit the school.
Arrange bespoke events during arrivals weekend(s) for Chinese parents, for example, Chinese Parents Induction, Chinese parent dinner etc.
Manage China CATS Academy Boston WeChat account to proactively communicate with parents on student matters as required (general inbound queries from parents/agents + proactive communication for student issues as they arise).
Translate student advisory & academic reports into Chinese language and send to parents/agents.
Proactively monitor Chinese student performance and attendance using our internal student management system so to highlight any student performance issues to parents immediately. As a follow up to this, you may also be required to help parents/agents understand that a student required additional support or private tutoring and help to make arrangements for this.
Arrange calls between admin/faculty staff members and the parents/agents of existing students as required, provide a translation service for these calls.
Working with the China recruitment team, effectively manage Chinese student annual re-enrolment / retention.
Pro-actively manage student refund process for graduated students.
Chinese student community; Manage a group of Chinese student ambassadors who can arrange Chinese community events and feedback etc.
Marketing / Recruitment Support
Collate news of events/activities/excursions/sports etc. from the school and post to WeChat regularly.
Help with China specific marketing requirements (capturing testimonials, images, videos etc.)
Manage Chinese student Alumni Project, some travel to other cities may be required to fulfil this task.
As part of the Chinese student ambassador initiative, encourage existing students to give feedback, presentations, speak to prospective students/families etc.
Arrange invitation letters for parents/agents/partner schools as required.
Manage on-shore Chinese focussed agents + direct Chinese transfer applicants.
Fluent English & Mandarin language skills (writing, reading, speaking & listening)
Strong organisational skills
Passion to help others
Flexibility in work hours (due to time difference between China and Boston)
Willingness to travel within the US and potentially to China
Experience in producing marketing materials, such as flyers, videos, imagery etc.
