The Admissions Counselor will serve the Academy as an ambassador within the community as well as globally, broadening awareness of and promoting the Academy by identifying and cultivating relationships.
Position Overview: This position reports to the Director of Admissions assisting with all aspects of the admissions and recruitment process.
Specific Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Meet enrollment goals for assigned target recruitment area
Travel on behalf of the Academy for recruitment events
Speak publicly to individuals, groups on and off campus
Develop and maintain close working relationships with key school constituents.
Assist in the planning and execution of all Admissions events
Assist in the development, maintenance and execution of the department’s communication plan to prospective and admitted students.
Review applications and supporting materials
Conduct interviews both in-person and on Skype
Provide a detailed report of the interview for the Admissions Committee
Assist with SEVIS and all I-20 Visa documents.
Ability to interact effectively with a diverse population of students, parents, and agents
Become proficient in the use of the office technology used to manage office record keeping and correspondence
Other duties as assigned
Qualifications and Experience:
Experience with production of a variety of media particularly print publications.
Excellent communication skills, both oral and written
Should possess high energy, attention to detail, and the ability to organize effectively
Experience in working, traveling, or living internationally is strongly preferred
A valid driver’s license and the ability to travel and work nights and weekends as necessary
