The Baldwin School is seeking an experienced educator to teach Kindergarten. We are seeking a dynamic teacher interested in working collaboratively on innovative curriculum design and development. Qualified candidates will have a strong understanding of current pedagogical practice and have the ability to effectively differentiate instruction for all students. The successful candidate will utilize relevant technology in teaching Language Arts, Social Studies and Math to support and develop students’ creative and critical thinking skills. In addition to classroom responsibilities, faculty members contribute to the daily life of the school, by actively participating in department and divisional meetings, and embracing the many leadership opportunities available to Baldwin community members. Applicants should demonstrate excitement, joy and passion for teaching early childhood students.
B.A. or B.S. in Elementary Education or related field, Master’s degree is preferred
A minimum of 3-5 years of relevant classroom teaching experience required, preferably in an independent school setting.
Demonstrated experience with project-based learning preferred
Excellent written and verbal communication skills and the ability to interact effectively with students, colleagues and parents
Creative, energetic, and positive approach to teaching young students
Enthusiastic support of the School’s mission and the value of an all-girls educational experience
