Maret is currently seeking a part-time associate to help manage the school store. The position will support the sale and marketing of Maret spirit wear and accessories, provide collaborative input regarding new merchandise, support the faculty with classroom supplies, and work with parent volunteers. The associate will report to the School Store Manager.
HOURS: Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 12:30-3:30pm Additional time may be required for special events, including some weekends.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Assists in daily school store activities, including entering sales on the point-of-sale system.
Performs a variety of clerical activities as needed, such as creating sales labels/tags, creating price lists, etc.
Accepts delivery of items for school store; verifies items against packing slips, if necessary.
Labels deliveries for school-wide distribution.
Assists with quarterly inventory activities; use a computer to record inventory quantities.
Works with and helps coordinate parent volunteers.
Assists with sales at school functions/events, e.g. Homecoming, Fete, Admission events, etc.
The ideal candidate should be able to:
properly execute sales of merchandise.
attend to detail and follow tasks through to completion.
follow instructions and organize activities.
remain flexible to changes in assignments or situations.
deal with students in a warm and confident manner.
be fair and consistent when working with students, faculty, parents, and guests.
learn the operation of general office machines, cash register, computer, and software.
establish and maintain effective working relationships with the school community.
