York Country Day School seeks a dynamic and dedicated Full-Time Physics teacher to join the faculty for the 2019-2020 school year.
Beginning immediately, the teacher will instruct physics and physical science. The teacher may be called upon to advise students or sponsor a club, as well. All teachers are expected to be involved in the life of the school and participate in school events.
The ideal candidate should possess, at minimum, an undergraduate degree in Physics or physics education and an inquiry-minded, lab-based teaching style. Previous teaching in an independent school setting is desired. Interested candidates should have expertise in an active, 21st century learning environment, and be an excellent role model for students in grades 8-12.
