The primary function of the Campaign Manager for Saint Mark’s School is to assist the Director of Advancement with managing donor communications and interactions with senior leadership, while providing comprehensive, day-to-day administrative support for the capital campaign. The duties are varied and will include managing correspondence, donor interactions, scheduling, logistics, and other administrative duties. The campaign manager will work closely, efficiently and effectively with internal teams (advancement, faculty and staff, administration), leadership (Board of Trustees, Parents Association), school families, St. Mark’s Church leadership and staff, external organizations, and community groups. The Campaign Manager is tasked with supporting the capital campaign for Saint Mark’s among all donor constituents during the quiet phase and into the community phase.
The Campaign Manager is a is full-time, exempt position for the life of the campaign, January 2020 through June 2021. Responsibilities This position works closely with and provides administrative support to the Director of Advancement in the following ways:
• Compose and edit correspondence, and prepare reports, agendas and memoranda for volunteer, prospect, and donor constituencies • Coordinate significant client follow-up activities, including meetings, mailings, and correspondence • Generate reports and track meeting notes, follow-up actions, and assignments • Assure campaign information is entered into the database • Produce gift acknowledgement letters • Manage tracking system for pledge payments and reminders • Coordinate with the Business Office to reconcile campaign and accounting records • Manage production of proposals, solicitation packets, and informational materials • Schedule cultivation, solicitation and stewardship appointments for staff, volunteers and prospects • Coordinate the campaign calendar • Manage the campaign budget • Provide prospect research • Assist with the preparation, creation, and implementation of campaign-related communications • Coordinate logistics for campaign and cultivation events, the campaign kickoff, and celebration • Coordinate logistics for campaign meetings for staff and volunteers, and attend to note activity and follow-up • Some weekend and late-night work will be required based on campaign activities • Other duties as assigned
Qualifications • Bachelor’s degree in non-profit administration, business, liberal arts, or related field • Minimum of three years related work experience. Prior campaign experience preferred • Excellent communication skills, including superior written and spoken communication • Highly organized with a demonstrated ability to multi-task and prioritize to deadlines • Significant experience supporting senior administrators/executive leadership • Exceptional at building and maintaining relationships • High level of diplomacy and ability to maintain confidentiality and remain calm in stressful situations • Positive, problem-solving attitude • Knowledge of CRM software, Raiser’s Edge preferred • Knowledge of email, spreadsheet, word processing and presentation software, and Google Drive
Physical Requirements Job includes some lifting, carrying, pushing and/or pulling; some climbing and balancing; some stooping, kneeling, crouching, sitting low on the ground and/or crawling; hearing, speaking, observing and significant fine finger dexterity. Specific abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust and focus. Generally, the job requires 15% sitting, 40% walking and 45% standing and the ability to lift or move 50 pounds. The job is performed under minimal temperature variations, a generally hazard-free environment and in a clean atmosphere.
