In support of New York Military Academy's mission, the Director of Admissions is responsible to support the Academy's objectives of recruitment and enrollment by directing admissions efforts and by acting as the public face and first contact of the Academy.
The Director of Admissions should be able to design, evaluate and administer strategic plans for Admissions with the goal of maintaining a capacity enrollment of qualified students. The Director should also present the school to prospective students and parents which includes systematic and efficient handling of applications, communication with candidates and their parents, interviews with candidates and their parents, arrangement of admissions testing, securing necessary student credentials and documentation and communicating final decisions to parents and the school community. This position will also be responsible for managing re-enrollment of current students for the succeeding year.
The Director will also represent New York Military Academy at various gatherings and conferences, traveling nationally and internationally, occasionally working irregular hours, including weekends and evenings.
The Director will oversee the admission office and staff.
Prior sales and sales management experience in a high value consultative educational environment
Demonstrated experience in international recruiting and admissions
A current and valid New York state driver's license is required. Driving record must be deemed insurable by NYMA insurance providers. Failure to maintain an insurable NYS driving record will result in termination of employment.
