Position Title: Maternity Leave Sub for Learning Specialist and Differentiation Coordinator, 3rd–5th Grades FLSA Classification: Full time, exempt Term of Position:Job begins January 5, 2020 through April 7, 2020 Full time from January 5, 2020–April 7, 2020 Reports to: Director of Learning Services Position Purpose: Provide support to students with learning differences
Provide one-on-one and small-group instruction for students diagnosed with learning differences in 3rd, 4th, and 5th grades.
Collaborate with director of learning services, classroom teachers, parents, and outside professionals to meet the academic needs of students.
Conduct classroom observations as needed.
Communicate students' progress with parents and teachers on a regular basis through meetings and email correspondence.
Maintain records by documenting plans, progress, and outcomes.
Experience in education or special education required.
Certificate in educational therapy preferred
California mild-moderate teaching credential preferred.
Minimum of 3 years of experience working one-on-one and in small groups with children in 3rd through 5h grades

Physical Requirements and Work Environment
Generally, work at a desk in standard office environment and climate.
Periodically work within various types of classrooms and school settings.
Frequently sit and crawls on floor.
Frequently bend and reach.
Must be able to occasionally lift 15 lbs.
