Job Description and Responsibilities
Giddens School is seeking a creative and experienced PE teacher to work with students in preschool through 5th grade. Our ideal candidate will:
Value our school mission and infuse the PE curriculum with a commitment to diversity, respect for all children, families, cultures, and learning styles
Be experienced as an instructor of PE, athletics, and/or health sciences
Be comfortable and skilled at organizing groups of young children in developmentally appropriate tasks
Have a commitment to collaborating with colleagues so that the PE curriculum supports and enhances the overall school program
Possess excellent classroom management skills as well as strong interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills

Strong candidates for this full time position will have:
a degree or certification that prepared them for the work
deep knowledge of physical education expectations for early childhood and elementary students
demonstrated experience teaching and/or coaching young children
