Templeton Academy Nashville is seeking a dynamic, part-time Math teacher to teach one 10-week, 2 hour class of Algebra I for Term 2 of 2019-2020 (October 21st-December 20th).
The mission of Templeton Academy is to transform the lives of its students by providing highly individualized, experiential education in small classes with dedicated and skilled educators. We are small enough to be personally in touch with every individual, yet large enough to offer a broad range of courses. Our model combines a warm, inviting atmosphere with great teaching that allows our students to flourish.
We are an urban experiential school, and teachers are required to plan one off-campus trip a week, incorporate project-based learning with a culminating 20 hour project weighted the same as exams, and participate in weekly PD. Coaching and support is available for developing curriculum, classroom management, and teaching skills.
This is a great opportunity for Math whizzes pursuing other ventures or post-grad degrees to engage and excite young community members in Nashville, while making approximately $35/hour. Adjuncts also have the potential to join our team full-time in future years.
To apply, please email your resume to Kalee.Barbis@TempletonAcademy.Org.
Required: A love of Math, teaching, community, and innovation.
