We are currently seeking to fill the position of Assistant to the Dean of Faculty This qualified individual will report to the Dean of Faculty.
The ideal candidate will be able to establish positive working relationships with faculty and staff while promoting the values and mission of the School.
Provide administrative support to the Dean of Faculty and Academic Dean.
Provide reception switchboard coverage in the mornings and on an as-needed basis.
Schedule visiting Candidates for all Middle and Upper School academic departments.
Meeting times for daily schedule, including class observations and interviews with the administrative team.
Arrange travel and hotel accommodations for visiting candidates.
Schedule visiting schools and teachers interested in Riverdale programs.
Book parent-teacher conferences for grades 10 and 12.
Summarize academic data from Veracross, compiling into appropriate reports.
Assist with campus logistics including room conflicts, space accommodations for injured students.
Collecting and collating Learning Outcomes and Student Feedback Surveys
Collect and organize all exams for midterms and finals and assign all proctoring for exams.
Set-up faculty evaluations: meetings with teachers, observations of teachers, follow-up meetings with the evaluation team.
Register faculty for professional development workshops and conferences.
Various clerical tasks and support regarding University of Pennsylvania Teaching Fellowship Program.
Maintain files on all ACT, SAT and AP results.
Organize community responsibilities for all teaching faculty, especially Lunch Duty and Library Duty.
Account coding of purchase orders and check requests.
Event forms for various meetings.
Reconcile and code monthly American Express statement for the Dean of Faculty.
Keep Turnitin plagiarism site up-to-date including registering new faculty.
Review and approve faculty group/community emails prior to issuance.
Enter students into requested electives in the school database.
Enter electives and descriptions on to NCAA portal. Work with NCAA for approval when needed.
Managing institutional Google calendars in concert with the communications office
Assist with preparation of Upper School graduation including Order of March.
Provide administrative support to the Academic Dean on an as needed basis.
Prepare Academic Index data each year.
Provide administrative support for Penn Teaching Fellows program.
Track faculty evaluations and Professional Growth Program.
Lunchtime support at main switchboard from 12-12.30pm.
Create a community responsibility document for Faculty Pack.
Create events forms for events coordinated by Dean of Faculty including Professional Development Day, conferences, etc.
3-5 years of experience.
Familiar with Google Suite.
Be willing and able to learn relevant new technology with the support of the RCS tech team; the openness to learning is more important than pre-existing skills.
Be optimistic, persistent, and proactive.
Enjoy working in an occasionally fast-paced but always supportive work environment.
Be able to communicate professionally and in a timely manner with faculty, parents, and school visitors.
