Garrison Forest School is seeking an organized, energetic person with strong interpersonal skills for the position of Middle School Administrative Assistant.
Garrison Forest School, located in Baltimore County, Maryland, is an independent, non-sectarian day and boarding school educating girls in grades K-12, with a coed preschool. GFS offers a national and international boarding program for girls in grades 8-12. Founded in 1910 and set on a stunning 110-acre campus in suburban Owings Mills, Garrison Forest offers a program with a wealth of opportunities in Academics, the Arts, and Athletics. The Middle School Administrative Assistant reports directly to the Head of Middle School, and represents the Middle School Head daily in interactions with all constituencies of the School. Responsibilities include: administrative support to the Head of Middle School and Middle School Dean of Students (calendar, correspondence, event planning), special event planning, database management, and website entry. Excellent telephone manners and interpersonal skills, computer proficiency, strong organizational abilities, attention to detail, and ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment are required. Willingness to function as a member of a team is crucial. The desire to contribute to the education of young women is an important quality for this position. The successful candidate will be joining a school with a collaborative faculty and innovative programming for girls in a variety of disciplines. Occasional nights and weekends may be required.

B.A. degree or equivalent.
Minimum five years of experience in a high-level administrative position and exceptional customer service skills.
Prior experience working in a school or university setting is preferred.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office and Google.
