The Upper School seeks a long-term substitute mathematics teacher who can teach Geometry (college prep and honors) and Algebra II from the end of January to the beginning of May, 2020.
Candidates will ideally have an advanced degree in mathematics, math education, or a related field. Experience teaching in an independent school setting is also ideal.

Primary Job Responsibilities:
Teach five sections of upper school math
In addition to a full-time teaching schedule, faculty serve as advisors, mentor students in co-curricular activities (coaching athletics, if possible), participate in division and department meetings, serve on school-wide committees and in various supervisory roles. Developing strong relationships with students and colleagues is critical for one’s success at Ranney and for the school’s successful accomplishment of its mission. For this long-term sub position, the faculty member hired will cover advisory but not the other duties of the faculty member on leave.
