The Calverton School has an immediate need for a part time IB Math Teacher for 2019/20. Position includes three classes meeting four days a week and could become a full time position for the appropriate candidate. Thorough knowledge of pre-calculus and calculus required; degree in Math or Science field and classroom teaching experience preferred.
Lesson planning, grading, and curiculum development are essential components of the position. Possiblity of on-campus housing and residnetial responsibilities can be discussed.
The successful candidate should be: creative and resourceful when developing lesson plans that actively engage students; able to develop a rapport with students; experienced and/or enthusiastic about math; thoughtful and constructive and able to work as a member of a team; and conscientious about meeting administrative deadlines.

The Calverton School a college preparatory, day (and now boarding) school located in Huntingtown, Maryland, approximately 45 minutes east of Washington, D.C. and 30 minutes south of Annapolis, MD. The school enrolls 270 students in Preschool through Grade 12, and offers the IB program for 11th and 12th grades. All of the school’s graduates are accepted into four-year colleges and universities. Students come from five counties, including Calvert, Charles, St. Mary's, Anne Arundel and Prince George's.
