Fieldston Emerging Leaders Camp, Future Leaders Camp, and Fieldston Outdoors are comprehensive programs covering a spectrum of subjects and interests designed to engage and provide campers with a memorable summer experience. Our programs and classes range from outdoor adventure, to educational, sports, and programs that are designed for campers to enjoy their summers.
Fieldston Future Leaders Camp (FFL)
Here at Fieldston Future Leaders Camp (FFL) we create valuable summer experiences for both campers and instructors! We are a six week summer camp for rising 5th through 8th grade children. With both morning and afternoon sessions specifically catered to each camper’s interests, Fieldston Future Leaders Camp is a nurturing and safe environment filled with a fun and exciting way of learning. We have a strong emphasis on leadership development, confidence building, and creativity because we recognize that each child has the potential to make an impact on their community. The Fieldston Summer Camps provide an opportunity for campers to have the freedom to schedule their week. Here at FFL, our campers finish the summer feeling confident and ready to make changes in their communities.
The camp is in session between June 13 - July 31, 2020.

Design and Eat
Crime Scene Investigation
Bridges and Boats Challenge
Insects and Robots
Build and Fly
Building a Lunar Colony
Plan and submit lesson plans as required.
Support youth development through camp activities.
Effectively develop a positive rapport with participants.
Maintaining safety and confidentiality.
Supervise participants during program hours, ensuring camper safety and the development of positive relationships.
Motivate campers with effective communication.
Must know and adhere to site specific safety standards.
Maintain clean and safe work environment, notify supervisor of any hazardous issues.
Participate in professional development, including a pre-program training.
Must attend staff meetings as assigned.
Other duties as assigned.
A Bachelor’s Degree or some college level course work
The instructor must have experience working with Middle School students
Some teaching experience strongly preferred
Outstanding communication and interpersonal skills
Excellent organizational and problem-solving skills
Respect for diversity
Ability to inspire and motivate
CPR/First Aid Certifications or the ability to obtain one
Flexible team player, with the ability, and willingness to work with adolescents, staff, and families
Ability to be a mentor and be a resource to campers, staff, families and embrace/foster cultural inclusiveness
Inspired through creativity and able to bring these talents to the work site.
