Position Summary: The Lovett School, an independent K-12 day school in Atlanta, GA, seeks an Annual Giving Manager to join the Development Team. The Annual Giving Manager is responsible for providing support for the Development Office’s Annual Fund program.
Interested candidates should have seasoned experience in annual giving at an independent school or university.
Responsible to help plan, execute, and grow the True Blue Annual Fund’s outreach to the Lovett community.
Assist when asked with preparation and implementation of True Blue volunteer activities including, but not limited to, trainings, phone-a-thons, promotions, and thank-a-thons.
Assist Director of Annual Giving in efforts for 1926 Society.
Lead Annual Fund efforts for Alumni, including Reunion giving.
Generate and update Raiser’s Edge queries, exports and reports, generate metrics to track progress towards True Blue goals, and support Advancement Services’ data integrity efforts and the Director of Annual Giving’s needs in preparing reports for Development and Alumni staff, volunteers, the Advancement Committee of the Board of Trustees, and core administration.
Raiser’s Edge data support as needed.
Work with Development Coordinator to execute solicitation mail campaigns for Grandparents Annual Fund and Parent of Alumni Annual Fund efforts.
Serve as ongoing, secondary support for True Blue volunteer and donor needs.
Support Director of Annual Giving and communications staff in creation, production, and distribution of Annual Giving collateral and messaging.
Research additional outreach and stewardship strategies, in coordination with Director of Annual Giving, and as appropriate, help with implementation of those strategies.
When needed, assist with coordination of key stewardship events for volunteers and leadership donors.
Engage in activities school-wide to increase knowledge and enhance the True Blue Annual Fund’s presence.
Engage in other Development duties as mutually agreed upon with the Director of Annual Giving and the Chief Development Officer.
At various times throughout the year, work outside of regular business hours for various job-related functions. As much advance notification as possible will be provided for these events.
Bachelor’s Degree and three to five years of annual giving experience at an independent school or university
Strong experience with Raiser’s Edge queries, exports, and reports
Ability to prioritize work and flexibility to change directions as the job dictates
Ability to maintain quality of detailed work while meeting deadlines
Possess a high degree of organizational effectiveness and attention to detail
Strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
Ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with colleagues and members of the extended Lovett community
Sound judgment relating to confidential school, financial, or student matters, including effective communication regarding such matters to the appropriate individuals
