The Administrative Assistant at Center School is the face of the school. He/she is the first person that visitors encounter upon calling or arriving at the school. It is imperative that this person possesses an enthusiasm for the school and a respect for all who contact and enter the school, both adults and children. He/she should become knowledgeable of Center School in order to convey accurate information to parents, prospective families, and the community.
Supporting and communicating with the student body, their families, and Center School employees is an essential responsibility of the Administrative Assistant. He/she must ensure that all students are accounted for each day. To do this, the Administrative Assistant coordinates transportation with multiple school district transportation departments and solves any problems that may arise. The Administrative Assistant also provides health support to students through tending to minor ailments and injuries, and through ensuring that students receive medication as necessary.
The Administrative Assistant is a full-time, 40 hour position with a 403(b) savings plan and life and health insurance plans. Job Requirements: Candidates should possess clear oral and written communication skills, strong organizational skills, a sound knowledge and application of Microsoft Office, and an underlying understanding of how to support an administrative team. Experience in databases, particularly Blackbaud, is preferred.
