Tower Hill School's next Director of College Guidance will join an ambitious and talented senior leadership team with an experienced Head of School, top-notch faculty, and smart and talented students, as the School wraps up its centennial celebration in 2019. This new Director will have the opportunity to be creative, utilizing social media and many other mediums to enhance communication and strong relationships with college admissions representatives. The top candidate will be well connected with and respected by college admission personnel. The Director must be an extremely strong writer who can deftly make Tower Hill seniors come to life through the letters of recommendation. While understanding the desire for Tower Hill’s college list to include a compelling number of highly selective colleges, the Director will balance the ambitions of both students and parents and, above all else, help them to understand the importance of a strong match.
Candidates should have at least four to five years experience in the college guidance office of an academically very rigorous college preparatory school or experience in the admission office of a highly selective college or university. A demonstrated ability to communicate effectively orally and in writing are essential.
Additional Salary Information: The salary will be determined, in part, by degree and experience, but will be competitive with salaries for similar positions.
