St. Andrew’s Episcopal School in Potomac, MD seeks an Assistant or Associate Director of Admission to begin July 2020. Founded in 1978, St. Andrew’s is a co-educational independent day school, enrolling approximately 645 students in preschool through grade 12. Position Description: The Assistant/Associate Director will focus on the recruitment and enrollment of Middle and Upper School students. The position involves local travel to schools, fairs, and outreach events, interviewing prospective students and parents, reviewing applications, and serving as a member of the Admission Review Committee. The Assistant/Associate Director should be an engaged member of the school community, and this position can be combined with teaching and/or coaching roles as appropriate. The position reports to and works closely with the Director of Enrollment Management. Qualifications: The ideal candidate will possess a bachelor’s degree, prior admission experience and/or experience working with middle and upper school students and parents, outstanding written and verbal communication skills, and a commitment to building and sustaining a broadly diverse community. We are seeking candidates who possess general flexibility, good humor, and the ability to work effectively as a team member, with exceptional time-management and organizational skills. The candidate should also have demonstrated proficiency with data management systems (we use Ravenna and FileMaker Pro) and general office applications (Word, Excel, etc.). This a full-time, 12-month position, with occasional required weekend and evening events.
