Trinity School, a co-educational, K-12 institution located on the Upper West Side of Manhattan, seeks beginning, promising, aspiring teachers with an interest in teaching as a career and a desire to join our faculty as an apprentice teacher for two years. Under the guidance of experienced faculty mentors, teaching fellows will gain a deep understanding of what constitutes good teaching, an appreciation of the role of independent schools in the world of education, and a strong sense of his or her own emerging talent and potential as a vital participant in a school community. Teaching fellows participate in the academic and co-curricular life of the school while they are, at the same time, earning a Master’s degree through a distinctive program designed specifically for independent day school educators, sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of Education. Over the course of the two years of the fellowship, fellows will gradually take on a heavier teaching load as their experience grows. Fellows will receive a salary as well as access to highly-affordable faculty housing, a generous benefits package, an 80 percent tuition contribution to the University of Pennsylvania’s Graduate School of, and additional funds for selected professional development. Portfolios Portfolio submissions should provide an overview of your artistic interests and how these are represented in practice. Submissions can be in any medium and applicants are encouraged to submit a variety of types of work. Artwork should reflect who you are as an artist and educator. - Portfolios should include approximately 8-10 images representative of your most recent or current work. Sketches and works-in-progress are welcome.
- Please submit the best quality images that also fill the frame of the picture. In the case of sculptures, more than one view or image is acceptable. Please enter any captions, descriptions, contexts, or titles of the work submitted.
- Three-to-five images of student work may also be included. Please clearly label these submissions as student work, including any additional information to give context, materials, basic premise, or goals of the project, etc.
