Position: SPA seeks candidates for the position of Grades 3/4 Homeroom Teacher at our K-5 Goodrich Campus.
Position Begins: August 2020 Status: Full-time, Exempt Department: Instructional, Lower School
Job Description: Candidates should possess the ability to teach the full range of homeroom content areas including literacy, mathematics, and social studies. In addition, candidates should demonstrate the ability to create developmentally appropriate curricula, establish a nurturing and engaging classroom environment for students, and work collaboratively with a teaching partner, various colleagues, and parents/guardians. Candidates should possess excellent interpersonal and communication skills, along with knowledge regarding best instructional practices in language arts, social studies, and mathematics.
Preferred qualifications include previous experience with the TOOLBOX Social Emotional Learning Program, Math in Focus/Singapore Math Curricula, Lucy Calkins’ Reading and Writing Units of Study the Fountas & Pinnell Continuum and Classroom Materials and/or Responsive Classroom.
