| St. Stephen's Episcopal School, a day and boarding school of 688 students (grades 6-12), is seeking an Upper School Physics Teacher for a full-time position beginning August 1, 2020. Candidates must have a degree in Physics or a closely related field, as well as 5-10 years experience teaching high school Physics. The Science Department is looking for candidates who: are dynamic, inquisitive, continually advancing their knowledge of chemistry and teaching, utilize a variety of teaching methods, are technologically proficient, and love working closely with energetic students and a dedicated faculty. The guided-inquiry methodology is used to present introductory/conceptual physics to 10th and 11th grade students. A phenomenological/experimental method is used to engage students in gaining a solid understanding of science through Physics. Duties include: - Teaching 4 sections of first year Physics;
- Serving as an advisor to a group of Upper School students;
- Coaching academic or extracurricular activities;
- Attending chapel and participating in a family style lunch program.
