| Annunciation Orthodox School (AOS) seeks a proficient, detail-oriented, and energetic person to help lead the Extended Day team. The ideal candidate will enjoy working closely with students, parents, and instructors to execute the school’s extended day goals. These goals include providing an environment where students can pursue their own interests, develop friendships, and grow in confidence, independence, and respect for themselves and others. This role is perfect for someone who loves working collaboratively in a fast-paced, busy environment. The AOS Extended Day programming is designed to serve both parents and students by providing opportunities for students to engage in a wide variety of interests while also building and strengthening relationships. This umbrella of programs includes childcare for AOS students before and after the school-day, enrichment classes, music clubs, private music lessons, student clubs, UCAL (United Church Athletic League), athletic training camps, and summer camp. Reports to: Director of Extended Day Status: Part-time Start Date: Flexible Work Schedule: This is a year-round position. The Assistant Director of Extended Day is expected to work Monday – Friday, 1:00 pm to 6:00 pm during the school year and additional time as needed for meetings and events. Responsibilities: - Plan and coordinate age-appropriate activities and curriculum for programs as needed throughout school year and summer
- Organize student schedules and distribute information to instructors and teachers
- Assist in the daily operations of the Extended Day programs, including reconciling daily attendance counts and mentoring a team of Extended Day counselors on various issues
- Build strong relationships with the students and families who utilize the Extended Day program
- Assist with the configuration and operation of our online database and registration system, CampBrain
- Attend and authentically engage with conferences, workshops, and other professional development opportunities both locally and nationally
- Support the Director of Extended Day in the completion of his/her duties
- Perform other duties and responsibilities as assigned
Qualifications: - Bachelor’s Degree; focus in education preferred
- Two years prior school experience; teaching or team management preferred
- Strong organizational skills, flexibility, self-awareness, collaborative orientation, and a growth mindset
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Proven leadership, problem solving, and planning skills
