| Greenwich Education Group (GEG) is actively seeking a Full-time Custodian to start the 2020-2021 School Year. Greenwich Education Group houses a rich array of academic resources, including subject tutoring, SAT, ACT, & ISEE test preparation, day and boarding school advisory services, college counseling, diagnostic assessment, clinical and coaching services and social skills support. Our three NEASC accredited, co-ed, small independent day schools, Links Academy, The Pinnacle School, and The Spire School offer unique environments and curricula designed for their students. Spire and Pinnacle are licensed by the state of Connecticut as Special Education Schools. Duties/Responsibilities - Maintains appearance of school premises, including school lobbies, hallways, lunchroom and bathrooms.
- Cleans all floor surfaces, including sweeping, mopping, scrubbing, or vacuuming
- Undertake occasional custodial and janitorial tasks (shoveling snow from the sidewalk, lifting heavy items, moving chairs, etc.)
- Follow procedures for the use of chemical cleaners and power equipment, in order to prevent damage to floors and other objects
- Perform maintenance and minor repairs (replacing broken switches, fixing door handles, minor leaks, painting, etc.
- Empties trash receptacles for proper disposal; use of compactor for certain materials
- Clean windows, glass partitions, and mirrors, using appropriate cleaners and equipment
- Spot clean carpets; assist in carpet extractions and shampooing
- Replenishes paper products and sanitary supplies.
- Follows schedule outlined by the immediate supervisor.
- Use of heavy cleaning equipment, such as, floor scrubbers, backpack vacuums and buffers.
- Other duties may be assigned, as required by scope of work or customer needs.
