Lower School 2nd Grade Co-Head Teacher for 2021-22

The Town School, a nursery through 8th Grade school of 400 students on the Upper East Side of Manhattan, seeks an experienced elementary school teacher. Town seeks a 2nd Grade Co-Head Teacher for the 2021-22 school year.

Major Responsibilities:

• Work collaboratively and professionally with co-teacher, grade-level, divisional, and school-wide colleagues for curriculum planning, student support, and mentoring
• Actively partner with parents and Guidance team to closely monitor and support student progress
• Differentiate instruction to attend to the needs of individual children
• Communicate effectively with colleagues, parents, and administration
• Contribute constructively to all faculty discussions and continue to grow professionally (i.e. conferences, in-service training, current literature)
