Heschel Day School, a Community Jewish Day School, seeks an experienced, energetic, flexible and talented teacher to join our faculty for both distance and on campus instruction. Responsibilities will include: Work cooperatively with colleagues in planning and implementing a balanced, innovative, and high level program Participate in faculty meetings, committees and school wide activities Establish and maintain standards of excellence for supervision and student engagement Collaborate with colleagues and administration as needed regarding social, emotional, and physical development of students Plan and ensure that curriculum and lessons are geared to meet the needs of multiple levels of ability and a wide range of learners Maintain successful relationships with families, including phone calls, conferences, Zoom/Google meetings, and written communications
Abraham Joshua Heschel Day School is a TK through eighth grade Jewish community day school. Its 76,000 square foot facility includes a gymnasium/auditorium, a library, a lunch pavilion, elementary maker/tech lab and middle school media lab, an innovation center, elementary and middle school science labs, a music classroom, an art studio, playgrounds, and an athletic field.
