This year, Gordon, like every other school around the globe, was faced with the challenge of rethinking how to deliver a progressive, hands-on, educational experience in the midst of a global pandemic. Gordon's flexibility and inclusivity became crucial elements of the school's response, and the Gordon community met this unprecedented moment by remaining true to its mission “to inspire joyful learning, encourage intellectual leadership, foster an empathic spirit, and stimulate a drive for positive societal impact.” With enrollment growing, parent enthusiasm strong, a firm financial foundation, and experienced leadership, faculty, and staff in place, Gordon is in an exciting position to use the lessons of this crisis to lead the next era of education innovation. Gordon School is excited to launch a search for its next Assistant Head of School, who will be charged with stewarding this essential work. Please see complete job description here. A member of Gordon’s senior leadership team, the Assistant Head of School provides leadership, oversight, and vision for both the day-to-day academic operations and strategic academic initiatives of the school.
