The Position Williamsburg Northside School seeks a dynamic, innovative, and passionate full-time School Psychologist for the 2020-2021 school year. This full-time, 10-month position is responsible for working with students, teachers, and parents from grades pre-k through eight in helping to address the psychological and developmental needs that arise for students during these years. This role requires the ability to work with multiple administrators and cross-divisionally. Support is also given to families and faculty at the preschool as needed. Major Duties & Responsibilities - Direct parent consultation and support regarding childhood development and parenting strategies is provided to problem-solve the needs of individual students and their families, and referrals to outside providers are made when needed or requested.
- Consults with teachers and provides guidance on areas related to student behavior, academic concerns and social emotional development, and conducts classroom and student observations as needed.
- Coordinates outside referrals and collects feedback from outside neuropsychological evaluations.
- Involved in evaluating eligibility for learning and testing accommodations and supporting in concert with the Student Support Team.
- Contribute to and participate in divisional and school-wide health programs.
- Identify and address learning and behavior problems that interfere with school success.
- Maintain student records, including reports of meetings, confidential records, records of services provided, and behavioral data and share these data with appropriate school personnel.
- Promote school policies and practices and respond to crises by providing leadership, direct services, and coordination with school personnel.
- Engage respectfully with families and demonstrate sensitivity to cultures, values, configurations, and beliefs.
- Demonstrate a passion for lifelong learning and actively pursue professional development rooted in individual and schoolwide goals.
- Participate in the school community, including faculty and committee work, and school duties.
- Promote respect for diversity, equity, and inclusion as a core value of the School, a shared responsibility in partnership with the school community.

Qualifications - Master's degree or higher in school counseling or psychology.
