The Town School Head of Nursery-Kindergarten Beginning July 2021 The Town School, a co-educational N-8 independent school, seeks an accomplished educator for our new Head of Nursery-Kindergarten to build on the division’s history of collaborative excellence and guide us toward future possibilities. Overseeing Nursery 3, Nursery 4 and Kindergarten, approximately 60 students, and 12 faculty, the Head of Nursery-Kindergarten is responsible for managing the day-to-day operations of the division, including supervising teachers; overseeing, coordinating, and developing academic programs; communicating with parents; implementing our recently launched Long Range Plan; collaborating with an outstanding caliber of colleagues and students; and maintaining a warm and challenging learning culture. Reporting directly to the Head of School, the Head of Nursery-Kindergarten is a member of the senior leadership team. We seek a collaborative, hard-working, creative, and disciplined person to assume this position. A deep background in balanced curriculum development and relevant learning skills are essential, as are support of Town’s mission and values, and a demonstrated commitment to the aspirations in our school’s Statement on Diversity, Inclusion and Equity.
