Summer at Friends is looking for a Registered Nurse to join our Camp Team! In 2021, Summer at Friends will offer an on-campus day camp program for children ages 4 to 13. The Camp Nurse works with program leadership to ensure a safe and fun camp season.

Should be available to work during the weeks of camp – June 21-August 13, 2021.   (Job share possible)

This position may also require limited pre and post camp season hours.

Hours: 8:45 am to 5:15 pm or will consider 8:45 am to 3:45 pm

Qualifications:

1. Licensed Registered Nurse in Maryland
2. Current CPR Certification
3. Current AED Certification
4. Experience working with children

Will be responsible for:

1. Ensuring that camp Medical Program meets all requirements of Maryland Department of Health (MDH) and is in compliance with State Day Camp Regulations
2. Managing camper and staff health information records
3. Administering medications to campers/staff in accordance with Maryland regulations for camps and completing appropriate records
4. Maintaining daily health visit/treatment log
5. Completing any medical report forms required by MDH
6. Providing medical supervision, support and services for campers and staff
7. Providing guidance to assist camp leadership in daily camper/staff health screening and in communicable disease prevention and screening
