St. Thomas School is a non-sectarian, Preschool through Eighth Grade school on the east side of Lake Washington. We pride ourselves in utilizing the latest technology to provide unparalleled education and accessibility to over 450 students, faculty, and staff. As an original Microsoft Showcase School, STS was one of the first schools to:

• Launch a schoolwide 1:1 laptop program
• Deploy Surface Tablets using OneNote Class Notebooks
• Implement a Virtual Reality lab

We are searching for an IT Support Analyst  who is able to work 40 hours per week on our campus – it is not a remote position.  As part of our commitment to being at the forefront of educational technology, we need an IT Support Analyst that is a partner in providing the best tech solutions for our school under minimal supervision. From troubleshooting, maintaining, and promoting technology in the classroom to training and consulting with STS staff and students, our IT Support Analyst ensures the smooth operation of all technology at St. Thomas School.

Specific Job Responsibilities:

Account management and server roles

• Creates, tests, and maintains software deployment through KACE Systems Management Appliance
• Troubleshoots network problems
• Tests and plans deployment of new upgrades to Windows and PC software
• Updates servers on a regular basis
• Adds and maintains users and groups, including Active Directory and O365

• Creates, updates, and researches Group Policy settings

Web management and scheduling

• Manages report card processes
• Manages web forms for trips and events
• Manages scheduling system (Pick-a-Time) for conferences and other events
• Manages summer rollover of databases and systems
• Edits the school website
• Maintains web filter and access control

Support roles

• Troubleshoots student and staff computer problems, managing ticket system
• Supports staff and students implementing (new) technology
• Supports AV needs for presentations and events
• Manage technology across the campus, including but not limited to cabling, moving equipment, and installing hardware.
• Maintains classroom printers and replaces toner
• Orders general computer supplies
• Provides support for interactive panels, VoIP phones, and classroom AV equipment

Training and classroom support

• Trains staff as directed by IT Director
• Provides in-class student training where necessary
• Provides classroom support in tech classes for lower grades
• Offers clubs in technology and programming

Research and documentation

• Research and documents new and pre-release functionality in Microsoft Windows and O365
• Research laptops, tablets, desktops and computer peripheral equipment
• Provides suggestions for future device purchases and planning
• Provides on-going support for trialing new "start-up" software
• Stays up-to-date with technology changes in the areas of Windows-based devices
• Attends webinars, training or conferences to develop skills in supporting school's technology

Other

• Attends meetings as required
• Vigorously engages in his/her own professional development
• Establishes and cultivates community relations by maintaining open and candid dialogue with all the school’s constituencies
• Is familiar with and complies with all policies and regulations as put forth in the school’s documents
• Since safety and security are everyone’s responsibility, takes all necessary and reasonable precautions to protect students, faculty, staff, equipment, data, materials, and facilities
• Performs other duties as assigned
