Millbrook School seeks a full-time history teacher beginning in the fall of 2021. Millbrook’s history department emphasizes skill development, specifically the skills of analytical writing, critical thinking, and public speaking. Candidates must be prepared to teach students of all age levels and should be able to teach U.S. History and other courses, including senior electives. We seek educators who value creating inclusive classrooms and curriculum and who are committed to their continued growth as educators. Prior teaching experience is preferred. In addition to teaching four sections, this position includes coaching or supervising an afternoon program for two out of three seasons, serving as an advisor for up to six students, and living in a dormitory and/or participating in the residential life program. Millbrook is a mission-based boarding high school; coaching and residential life duty are important components of this position.
