Kent Denver’s Office of Innovation is seeking a resident beginning in the 2021-2022 academic year.  This two-year residency is designed for those who are interested in offering their passion, ideas, and expertise to students and educators at a nationally ranked independent school, while gaining experience and mentorship for a career in leading, teaching and supporting innovation work in schools.  This residency offers the ability to be a part of all areas of innovation at Kent Denver, and includes the following core responsibilities:

• Help staff two Impact Studios (maker-spaces), working to support students and faculty who are designing, prototyping, and problem-solving using fabrication and CAD tools.
• Inspire student-directed work in areas of innovation including technology, research, design and entrepreneurship.
• In collaboration with Kent Denver, develop an educational research project in the area of innovation to pursue through residency, preferably one that considers the intersection of design and equity work.

• Run point on developing, deepening, and/or strengthening the relationship with one of the Office of Innovation’s external partners.

• Provide logistical support to innovation projects as assigned by the Chief Innovation Officer.
• Opportunities to teach, or co-teach, coursework and/or advise may be available as appropriate.

The Office of Innovation is a part of Kent Denver School.  Kent Denver School is a college preparatory day school of 700 students in grades 6-12 located on 220 acres in suburban Denver.
