Garrison Forest School seeks a full-time Upper School Dean of Students to begin July 1, 2021. The Dean is responsible for fostering a school climate that enhances community and student growth. The Dean reports to the Head of Upper School. As a key member of the Student Life Team, the Dean is charged with identifying and advocating for student life needs and promoting the wellbeing of all students. As the Dean of a school with a diverse and international student body, the Dean will support faculty and student cultural competence and will work to ensure that the school’s co-curricular program reflects and celebrates the school’s diversity. On-campus housing may be available. Duties and Responsibilities: - Developing and overseeing programs that enable students to realize their fullest intellectual and personal potential and integrating student life experiences with the educational mission of the School.
- Overseeing the Upper School co-curricular program and Upper School functions including leadership, activities, attendance, and student conduct.
- Joining with the residential life professional staff, faculty, and student leaders to create an enriching experience for students which safeguards their safety and security, health and wellbeing, and nurtures their academic and personal development.
