JOB OVERVIEW Villa Academy is seeking a dynamic, knowledgeable and child-centered full time Primary Grades Instructional Assistant. This assistant will work most closely with the 2nd grade teachers and students. This is a benefitted 7-8 hour/day position. Duties vary widely and include instructional work with individual students, small groups and/or the socially distanced whole class, clerical and administrative tasks, creation of materials, supervision of recess, lunch or specialist classes in the lower school, support of outdoor learning across our 31 acre campus and other second grade or lower school duties as needed. In addition to work in the classroom, all instructional assistants attend in-service days, faculty/staff meetings, appropriate training sessions, and participate in many all-school events. QUALIFICATIONS: Education and Experience: - Early Childhood/Community College and/or University degree (Teacher certification considered a plus!)
- Experience in working with young children in school/church setting
- Volunteer work with children in a variety of settings
